With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alta Mae Johnson (Pikeville, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 5, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Milam and Ethel Sanders Milam; her husband Johnny Martin Johnson Jr.; her children, Mary Francis Bryant and Leslie Johnson; and her granddaughter Breann Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, Fred Allen Johnson and Perry Johnson; her siblings, Thomas Milam, Jimmy Milam, Ada Milam, Mary Collins and Glenda Casler; her grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Samantha, Katelyn, Jonathan and Steven; and her sons, Barry Lucas, Jerry Damron, Goble Burke and Jeff Little. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM and on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home (2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
