He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Houchin and Ellie Cooke Houchin; and his brothers, Earl Houchin Jr. (Bobbi) and William Houchin (Virginia). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis B. Houchin; his daughters, Bonnie Houchin Brooks of Gulf Breeze, FL and Theresa Houchin Roman (Mike) of Hilliard, OH.; his grandchildren, Sara Navarro (Guillermo), Eric Gile, Emily Williams (Nick), Rachel Roman Lockridge (Brandon) and Jessica Roman; his great grandchildren, Sofia Navarro, Brooks and Reid Williams; the mother of his children Carolyn Ratcliffe; his grandchild Terry Borders (David); his stepchildren, Dee DeMuth (Kay), Bob DeMuth (Sara) and Philip DeMuth (Sandy Meredith); his grandchildren, Stuart Borders (Jenny), Amanda Best (Joshua), Sarah Creason (Trent), Daniel DeMuth (Jessica), Leslie Daly (Steven), Ryan DeMuth (Carly) and Austin DeMuth (Josie); and his great grandchildren, Ella, Spencer, Kate, Josiah, Ben Borders, Lynnley, Micah, Tilly Best, Nehemiah, Evelynn, Levi Creason, Caitlyn, Cami DeMuth, Natalie Riggs, Graham, Case, Baylor DeMuth and Addison DeMuth. He is also survived by several children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
