He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Keene and Minnie Varney Keene; and his siblings, Berkley Keene, Dewey Keene, Jr., Shirley Anderson, Donnie Joe Keene and Robert Keene.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Kendrick Keene of Phyllis, KY; his children, Kimberly Keene Slone of Phyllis, KY, Jeremy Keene (Savannah) of Phyllis, KY and Nikki Keene Abbott (Justin) of Kimper, KY; his grandchildren, Ashley Slone, Bailey Slone, Connor Abbott, Logan Abbott, Kylee Abbott, Addison Keene and Jerran Keene; his great grandchildren, Greyson Powers, Aubrie Tackett and Remington Tackett; and his siblings, Roger Keene of Phyllis, Johnny Keene of Phyllis, Betty Weaver of Phyllis, Gary Keene of Phyllis and Patricia Keene of Phyllis.

The family understands that many want to attend the service but cannot due to the restrictions in place from the pandemic and would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time.
