She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Tilden Parsons and Anna Mae Stapleton Parsons; her husband Avery Murphy; and her siblings, Herman, Alvis Glen, Rev. Tilden, Jr., Rev. Andrew Parsons, Shelba Jean Helmondollar, Vesta Herbst, Billie Alesi, Barbara Linville, Genevieve Adams, Judy Reitmire, Mabel Bailey and Donna Bunch.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Murphy (Glenda) of Dana; her grandchildren, Tiffany Nichole Abner (James), Nathaniel Douglas Taylor, Danny Evan Thacker (April), Kaitlin Sierra Burris (Nathan), Wesley Ian Thacker (Harley) and Tayleigh JoAnna Thacker; and her great grandchildren, James Scott Abner, Daelynn Averina Abner and Emma Louise Burris (Mary Slone).
