He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinard Bevins and Mertie Bevins of Phyllis, Kentucky.; his wife Eloise Bevins; his children, Richard Bevins and Vanessa Bentley; his son-in-law Douglas Cottle; his grandson Keaton Chandler Newsome; and his siblings, Lois Williamson, Joyce Slone, Carmel Bevins, Jimmy Bevins, Clifford Bevins, Everett Bevins and Jesse Vernon Bevins.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Bevins of Winchester, Leshia Newsome (Greg) of Virgie, Daphene Boyd (Ricky) of Bristol, Marquita Cottle of Pikeville, Krystal Tackett (Rusty) of Pikeville and Christopher Bevins (Jennifer) of Marianna Florida; his grandchildren, Tyler Newsome, Katie Diana (Travis), Jeremy Stacy, Wyatt Cottle, Isaac Riffe, Noah Riffe, Terrah Justice, Chad Griffey (Amber), Chandler Griffey (Keyla), Cassandra Laney (Nathan), Michael Bates, Landon Bates, Caleb Bates and Ivy Bates; and his great grandchildren, Lyla Rose Diana, Gracie Justice, Lainey Justice, Emi Justice, William Griffey, Kameron Griffey, Madison Griffey, Zoey Griffey, Taitley Griffey, Adriannah Griffey, Vanessa Griffey, Conner Griffey, Terrah Keen, Alaina Laney and Lucas Laney.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home (2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home (2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501).
