He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Smith; his siblings, Wilburn Smith, Freddie Lee Smith, Archie Harold Smith, Ophelia Turner and Barbara Ann Peace; his children, Lisa Heard (Carey), Tom Smith, Todd Smith (Tasha) and T. J. Dilbeck; his siblings, Charlie Ray Smith, Selda Sowders (J. R.) and Hester Good; his grandchildren, Frank Rains (Alexis), Brandon Rains, Hannah Smith, Brooklyn Smith, Peyton Smith and Allie Smith; his great grandchildren, Ross Rains and Harrison Rains; and his friends, Jerry Marcum, Larry Yeary and Don Pratt.
He showed forth charity in his Christian walk and enjoyed speaking of his precious Savior.
