He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Mesplay Newcom; and his brother Charles Newcom. He is survived by: his children, Steve Newcom (Shelley) of Philpot and Candi Myers (Jeff) of Philpot; his grandchildren, Brad Newcom (Kym) of Madisonville, Keaton Newcom of Philpot, Jaime Martin (Jared) of Owensboro, Gwyndolyn Crowe of Philpot and Trent Russelburg of Louisville; and his brother-in-law Jack Mesplay (Julia) of Owensboro. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
