She was predeceased by: her parents, McAtee Hale and Mamie Hale; her husband George "Hoppy" Keown; her brothers, Clarance Hale and McAtee Hale, Jr.; and her daughter Karen Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Keown Chaffin (Larry), Rhonda Lyn Keown Davie (Clayton, Jr.) and Paul Keown (Denise); her grandchildren, Angela Chaffin Rummage (Gene), Andrea Chaffin Thomas, Thomas LaRoche, David LaRoche (Elisha), Dana LaRoche Truitt (Larry), Niki Noto Palmer (Michael), Kendra Keown Douglas (Nate), Courtland Keown and Emma Avis Davie; her sister Dorothy "Dottie" Tice; and her siblings-in-law, Jo Anne Hale, Opal Keown, Wanda Keown and Charles Keown, Jr.. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
