He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Orval and Mary Golda Smith Howard; and his sisters, Eleanor Wathen and Grace Dyer. He is survived by: his wife Florence Johnson Howard; his children, Diane Hoffman (Steve) of Owensboro, Jane Brand (Joe) of Philpot, Lisa Kratt (Bob) of Crestwood, KY and Leo Howard (Sonya) of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan (Amy), Caleb Brand (Rachel), Holly Rainey (Michael), Tyler, Adam, Sam (Madison) and Benjamin Kratt; his great grandchildren, Ella, Graham, Emilia Rainey and Eli Brand; and his siblings, Rita Szemethy, Ann, Ed Howard, Leonard Howard (Eva) and Martin Howard (Gwen).
