He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Hall" Hackney; his son Brian Hackney (Jessica) of Phelps, KY; his siblings-in-law, Bobbie Hackney of Phelps, KY and Alvis Smith; his nephew Mike Hackney; and his grandchildren, Jada, Hailey and Isaiah Hackney.
