He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stanley and Virginia Lee Watkins Ellis; and his son James Paul "Jimmy" Ellis. He is survived by: his children, William "Brian" Ellis (Dena) and Melissa "Missy" Ellis; and his sister Judy "Diane" Elswick (Steve). He is also survived by six grandchildren.
