She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson D. Powell and Sarah Overstreet Powell; her daughter Mary Margaret Rall; and her siblings, Margaret Ann Helton and Clarence E. Powell.
She is survived by: her son Joseph A. York (Kathy); and her brother Nelson D. Powell, Jr. (Carol Holm). She is also survived by four nieces and a nephew.
