He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Cornett and Ora Mae Baker Cornett; his former wife Waneta Coots Cornett; his wife Peggy Sue Beeler Cornett; his son David Benjamin Cornett; his sister Ola Mae Cornett; and his grandson Seth Cornett.
He is survived by: his brother Dennis Cornett (Peggy); and his children, Patty Bradshaw (Jim), Mark Cornett (Christenna), John Cornett (Laura), Adam Cornett, Paul Cornett (Jil) and Leslie Day (Nick). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
