He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Young and Dorothy O'Daniel Young. He is survived by: his wife Verna Mae Bottoms Young; his children, Vickie Lynn Cox (James) and Charles Anthony Young; his brothers, Joe Roy Young, William Thomas Young (Dora) and Howard Richard Young; his grandchildren, Ashley Raider (Jason), Brittany Broach (Chase), DeAndre Cox (Michelle), Casey Cox and Devon Cox (Brittany); and his great grandchildren, Myles Carroll, Tristan Love, Anzly Carroll, Shaelyn Cox and Lynnie Cox.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 regulations services are private, However, there will be a drive-by visitation at the Showroom from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m., on Wednesday May 20, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to go to the BCHS Football program.
