He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Acey, and Stella Godbey Acey, Sr.; his great grandchild Porter Honaker; and his brother Johnny Wayne Acey. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Tapscott Acey; his children, Charles Michael Acey (Linda), Betty Jo Hundley (Don), Lisa Hale (Larry) and Richard Thomas Acey (Jenniner); his grandchildren, Shelby, Wade, Wyatt Acey, Eli, Jeb, Ben, Meg Hundley, Eden, Corbin, Blevin Hale, Emma and Tucker Acey; his great grandchild Rhett Honaker; and his sisters, Morene Wesley and Beulah Fern Vaught.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Walden Funeral Home for the purchase of a Cuddle Cot to be donated in Charles' memory to the UK Children's Hospital.
