He was predeceased by: his parents, Renzal Lemon Cowherd and Nora Bell Cowherd; and his brothers, R. L. Cowherd and Bo Cowherd. He is survived by: his children, Mark Cowherd (Sue) and Julie Wise (Rex); and his siblings, Betty Hedges, Nancy McCormack and Johnny Cowherd (Ann Evelyn). He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
