Lena Gayle (Skirvin) Townsend Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Gayle (Skirvin) Townsend (Pendleton, Kentucky), born in Bedford, Kentucky, who passed away on September 8, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Vernon and Myrtle Beatrice Skirvin (Wilson); her sister Glenetta Westover (Keith); and her siblings-in-law, Joe Price, Howard Wade, Arthur Townsend, David Mitchell, Barbara Edds, Joyce Townsend, Margaret Gabbard, Ruby Townsend and Patricia Abbott.

She is survived by: her husband Jerry Townsend; her daughters, Karie Aldridge, Crystal Smallwood (Neil) and Sara Townsend; her grandchildren, Jared, Tabitha (Martin Aldridge), Kayla, Joshua (Seth Smallwood) and Ashtyn (Axle Townsend); her siblings, Rita Townsend (Daniel), Bonnie Wade, William Skirvin (Carol), David Skirvin (Annette) and Kathy Price; and her brothers-in-law, James Townsend (Sharon), Daniel Townsend (Rita) and Robert Townsend. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial donations can be made in memory of Mrs. Townsend to WHAS Crusade for Children.
