He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Ryan and Mabel Mains Ryan; his daughter-in-law Ann Moore Ryan; and his brothers, Jim, Charlie, Pat, Ralph and Donnie.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Carr Ryan; his children, Sandy Thomas (Steve), Donna Hickerson (Tim) and Ed Ryan (Ellen); and his sister Elaine Cox. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
