He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Roland Rust; his son Scot Alan Rust; and his siblings, Charles Rust, Naron Rust, Lillian Rust Knowles, Ruth Rust Robertson, Nancy Rust Turner and Peggy Rust Snyder.
He is survived by: his wife Melva Gorrell Rust of Pembroke; his son Mark Rust (Dianna) of Lascassas, TN; his siblings, James Rust (Alberta) of Nebo, KY, Malcolm Rust (Mary) of Allensville, KY and Cynthia Rust Templeman of Elkton, KY; and his grandchildren, Edie Rust and Luke Rust.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to St. John United Methodist Church or Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
