With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maureen Woods of Payneville, Kentucky, born in Battletown, Kentucky, who passed away on June 20, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe "Yank" Smith and Shirley Gertrude Greer Smith; her husband Jimmie Woods; her children, Jerry "Jug" Smith, James Ray Woods and Theresa Woods; her granddaughter Robin Duval; her son-in-law Jeff Acob; and her siblings, Lula Bell Smith, Carol Sue Hall, Adrian "Snake", Earl "Lucy" and Ray Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Woods (Ashley Smith) of Payneville, KY, Tommy Woods of Payneville, KY, Joe Woods of Payneville, KY, Wanda Stewart (Stacy McCubbins) of Lebanon Junction, KY and Monica Acob of Harlingen, TX; and her sisters, Jean Greer and Christie Smith of Brandenburg, KY. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; three step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
