It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Nelson of Payneville, Kentucky, born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on October 14, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Raymond and Adele Danks Nelson (Bell); his granddaughter Jadyn Nelson; and his sister Sheila Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Mary "Patty" Nelson; his children, Cheryl Wright (Darrin), Vickey Spurlock of Radcliff, KY, Larry Browning, Jr. (Crystal) of Vine Grove, KY, Jason Nelson (Sue) of Big Spring, KY, John Nelson (Kristine) of Effingham, IL, Shawn Ingram Nelson of Vine Grove, KY and Charles D. Nelson (Sherrie) of Irvington, KY; and his siblings, Sylva Nelson of Watson, IL, Sandra Shelton (Bill) of Heartville, IL and Galen Nelson (Donna) of Salem, IN. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
