He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Taulby Rice and Cora Ann Stephens Rice; his wife Brenda; and his half-siblings, Willa Dean Moore, Christy Mae Rice, Odie Graham Hall and Jay Lee Hall.
He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Douglas Rice (Kristy); his grandchildren, Korie Rice (Billy Bettner), Joshua Vandeventer (Taylor), Samantha Arvesen (Patrick) and Damon Howe (Laura); his great grandchildren, Caidence, Ellery, Amelia, Phoebe, Mallie and Maggie; and his pet Teddy.
