It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Faye Kates (Paris, Kentucky), who passed away on November 25, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harry and Carrie Florence Harp; her siblings, Pete Harp, Pauline Taylor, Ollie Jean Roe, Ellen McClain, Helen Arnold, Larry Ray Harp and Jim Harp; her children, Paula Faye Tucker, David Tucker, Sandra Lynn Myers and Karen Kates; and her grandson Nicholas Kates.
She is survived by: her husband Lloyd M. Kates; her children, Pam Roe (John), Paul "Junior" Groves (Barbara), James Patrick Motley (Luvena), Bruce Kates (Pam), Randy Kates (Connie), Devonna Kates and Lloyd Kates Jr. (Veronica); her siblings, Harry Clay Harp (Judy) and Linda Rice (Dave); and her sister-in-law Liz Harp. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
