He was predeceased by: his son John Lee Smith; his siblings, Una Jean Price and Wilburn Smith; and his son-in-law Mike Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Huffman Smith; his daughters, Vickie Smith Mitchell, Lisa Smith Allison (Nate) and Connie Smith-Monahan; his grandchildren, Shane Mitchell (Kelly), Seth Mitchell (Jennifer), Lori Beaton (James) and Nobella Smith-Monahan (Matt); and his great grandchildren, Taylor Settles (Jarryd), Michael Mitchell, Jonathon Bales, Kaitlyn Mitchell, Noah Mitchell, Maddie Mitchell and Kendall Bales.
