He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine "Cathy" Louise Wilson Jones; his parents, Edna Maybrier Wells and Leland Stanford "Bus" Jones; his stepfather J. R. Wells; his son Larry "Duke" Stephen Jones, II; his grandson Michael Bailey; and his sisters, Annette Jones Johnson and Linda Wells Sherwood.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Miller, Deborah Mitchell, Bridgette Shaw and Danny Bill Reynolds; his grandchildren, Lee Frazier of Timothy, Mitchell, Natasha Mitchell, Nikki Burton (Brian), Nixon Workman, Evan Jones (Laura) and Alex Jones; his great grandchildren, Kaliyah, Abby, Able, Sarah and Michael; his great great grandchild Robert Lee; his daughter-in-law Lisa Mullins Jones; his brother Mike Jones; and his half-sister Cindy Jett (Tom). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
