He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Anna Mae White Gay; his sister Ida Fenton Sexton; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Long. He is survived by: his wife Emma Louise Price Gay; his son John Kenney Gay, Jr.; and his siblings, Richard Gay (Phyllis), Jimmy Gay (Sue) and Ann Long. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
