It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh Albert Nelson (Paris, Kentucky), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 19, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Nelson and Margaret Jones Nelson; and his daughter Vicki Nelson Gibson. He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Nelson Yazell (Kevin Gray) and Cathy Nelson Oakley (Johnnie); his grandchildren, Amber Vence (David) of Haleigh Yazell, T. J, Conner Yazell, Kaitlyn Timby (Patrick), Hugh Oakley (Heather), Cody Gibson IV, Chase Gibson (Emily) and Colton Gibson; his great grandchildren, Luka Israel and Caisen Timby; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Sands, Sue Hall (Bobby), Carol O'Grady (Tom), Pearl Banks (Doug), John Adams (Debbie) and Larry Adams. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
