He was predeceased by: his parents, Anderson Wallace Lutes and Mary Bell Lanham Lutes; and his siblings, Kenneth Lutes, Beulah Cook, Clara Hurd, Mildred Van Hook, Betty Ward and Juanita Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Clay Lutes, Stephen Kent Lutes, Mary Delia Lutes and Christian Dwight Lutes; his grandchildren, Rhea Lutes Campbell (Lance), Robert Browning Lutes (Crystal), Stephanie Caitlin Lutes and Codi Beth Lutes; and his sister Phyllis Crump. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
