He is survived by: his wife Helen Dorothy Oppel Smith; his sons, Glenn Woodward Smith (Carla) and Randy Earl Smith (Sharon); his grandchildren, Taylor Glenn Smith, Carlee Jlynn Smith and Katelynn Marie Smith; his great grandchild Hadleigh Taylor Smith; and his sister Joyce Bucher.
