He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward Tackett and Magdlene Skaggs Tackett; and his stepson John Walter Thompson. He is survived by: his son Andy Lee Tackett (Brandi) of Hammond, Kentucky; his brother Jack Tackett (Barb) of Sitka, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Chase Thompson, Logan Thompson, JT Banks and Gavin Setser.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240).
