He is survived by: his wife Lillie Mollette Burks; his children, Robert Marvin Burks, Jr of Flat Gap, Kentucky, Jessica Newsome (Gregory) of Williamsport and Marlina Burks (Troy) of Thealka, Kentucky; and his siblings, Carl David of Nippa, Kentucky, Ellis Edward Burks of Nippa, Kentucky, Julia Faye Castle of Nippa, Della Mae Ratliff of Barnetts Creek and Wanetta Foster of Ohio. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
