He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cline Adams and Bonnie Jean Baldridge Adams; his wife Paula Ann Wells Adams; and his brothers, Ronnie Gene Adams and James Bryan Adams.
He is survived by: his children, Brandi Jean Adams of East Point, Deloris Mae Adams Lafferty of Staffordsville, Amber Dawn Hazlett of Ashland, Kentucky, Christopher Ryan Short of Ohio and Daimen Isaac Gregory Short of Ohio; his siblings, Sherry Lynn Peth of Genoa, Bonnie Janice Blevins of Staffordsville, Belva Ann Powers of Paintsville, Kentucky, Clarence David Adams of Sitka and Phillip Ray Adams of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and his niece Teresa Dawn Cantrell of Staffordsville, Kentucky. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Trimble Cemetery.
