He was predeceased by: his significant other Genevieve Curtis McCarty; his sisters, Ruth, Hattie, Emeral McCarty of Oil Springs and Ruby Conley of Oil Springs; and his grandson Ryan Preston.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jewell Reed (Sammy) of Oil Springs and Wanda Jean Preston (James) of Oil Springs; his brother Carl McCarty (Evelene) of Oil Springs; and his grandchildren, Dianna Reed (Bobby) of Oil Springs, Darrick Preston (Donna) of Oil Springs, Laura Castle (Guthrey Preston) of Oil Springs and Jimmie (Genevieve). He is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
