It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Marie Howard of Paintsville, Kentucky, born in Salyersville, Kentucky, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Ed Adams; her husband Solen B. Howard; her sons, Danny B and Johnny Ray Howard; and her siblings, Bud Adams, Darrell Adams, Phillip Adams and Pauline Conley.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Howard (Diana) of Paintsville, Jimmy Darrell Howard (Wanda) of Salyersville, Norman Allen Howard (Pam) of Salyersville, Donna Shepherd (Benny) of Salyersville and Dorothy Salyer of Salyersville; her siblings, Tyra Blanton of Marion, Wilma Montgomery of Ashland, Georgia Slusser (Bill) of Ohio and Shelly Litteral (Luke) of Salyersville; and her grandchildren, Paula Marie Joseph, Benji Howard, Michelle Hall, Edward Lee Howard, Jimmy Dean Howard, Jeremy Howard, Curtis Koons, Jesse Howard and Michael Salyer. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren with a host of nieces and nephews.
