It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Kendell Cantrell (Paintsville, Kentucky), who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arville Cantrell and Ada Baker Cantrell; his wife Betty Salyer Cantrell; his daughter Lori Cantrell; and his brother Ronnie Cantrell.
He is survived by: his son James Arville Cantrell (Iceman) of Flat Gap, KY; his brother Gordon Cantrell of Staffordsville, KY; his grandchildren, Kelsey Faith Gambill of Emily Welch, B. J, Estep, Wade Ratliff (Kara) and Matthew Ratliff; his great grandchild Brentey Estep; and his adoptive parent Casey Ratliff (Heather Ratliff). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and a host of family and friends.
