She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Kerns and Ella McKenzie Kerns; her siblings, Jessie Eigensee, Neva Evelyn Brown, Ruth Castle Maddox, Doris Annette Kerns, Howard Kerns, James Kerns, Jack Kerns, Richard Kerns and Kenneth Kerns; her son-in-law Richard Henry Potter II; and her grandchildren, Tanya Potter Bailey and Richard Henry Potter III.
She is survived by: her husband Bryan Barber of Paintsville; her children, Donna Potter of Dudley, Connie Phelps (James) of Indianapolis, Tim Barber (Joann) of Staffordsville and Deborah McKenzie (Paul David) of Paintsville; her grandchildren, Amy Phelps of Franklin, Melissa Estep (Tommy) of Noblesville, Eric Potter of Dudley and Matthew Barber (Charity) of Madisonville, Kentucky; and her brother Douglas Kerns (Madge) of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
