She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer McLeod and Mabel Dorland; her husband James Kern; and her grandson Jamie Kern. She is survived by: her children, John Kern and Dawn Slone; her siblings, Homer McLeod, Bernard McLeod, Mac McLeod and Bernie Vanderlan; her children, James Kern (Vonda) of Gunlock and Cindy Southwood (Jimmie) of Hazard; and her siblings, Jack McLeod of Lake City and Betty Wagner of Merritt. She is also survived by three grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, a host of family and friends.
