He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann; his children, Paul David Bernard (Sandra) of Mascoutah, Michael Lewis Bernard (Theda) of Crestview, Jeffrey Lynn Bernard of Jamestown and June Alice Blankenship of Paintsville; his siblings, William Paul Bernard (Arlene) of Russell Springs and Elizabeth Flanagan of Jamestown; and his grandchildren, Jesse Leslie Bernard, II, Stacey Lynn York, Tiffany Ann Antle, David Ashley Bernard, Paul Anthony Bernard, Rebecca Ann Wiggins, Tara Shay Gifford, Ashley Michelle Harris, Katherine Ann Wright, Michael Lewis Bernard, II, James Ray Blankenship, Noah Thomas Blankenship, Richard Tyler Bernard and Kayla Robin Bernard. He is also survived by his twenty-four great-grandchildren.
