He was predeceased by: his parents, Goodale Patton and Gertrude White Patton; his wife Patricia Rose Burchett Patton; and his brothers, Oakley and Franklin Claude Patton.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Grubb (David) of Paintsville, Kentucky; his grandson Jon Salyer (Alisha); his great grandchildren, Skyler, Grayson, Hudson and Julie; and his brother Donnie Patton (Sally) of Paintsville, Kentucky. He is also survived by three nephews and two nieces.
