He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Castle and Dorothy Mae Preston Castle; and his sisters, Eloise Dials and Imogene Copley. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Tooter" Adams Castle; his son Anthony M. "Tony" Castle of Indialantic, Florida; his siblings, James Michael Castle of Paintsville, Kentucky, Elizabeth Ann Kinner of Paintsville and Brenda Owens of Moultrie, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Adam Michael Castle and Erin Nicole Castle.
