He was predeceased by: his father James D. Cox; and his siblings, James D. Cox II and Connie Hromyak. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Conn Cox; his brother Timothy Cox (Shondah); his wife Paulinda Bailey Cox; his children, Leslie Jones (Derek) of Louisville and Aaron Benjamin Cox (Gera) of Lexington, KY; and his grandchildren, Lucille, Silas, Hadley, Cecilia, Josephine and Douglas Jones.
The family kindly requests that guests wear a mask when attending the visitation and/or funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Twelve Baskets Food Pantry at the First Church of God in Paintsville, KY.
