He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Dorton and Myrtle Staniford Dorton. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Dheel; his children, Richard Dorton of Paintsville, Billy Dorton of Paintsville, Keith McDavid of Paintsville, Dallas Guthrie of Thelma, Rushia Dorton of Huntington, WV and Renee Dorton of Paintsville; and his siblings, Scott Dorton of Thealka, Andrew Dorton of Paintsville, William Dorton of Staffordsville, Bobby Joe Dorton of South Point, OH, Kenneth Dorton of Paintsville, Rick Dorton of Flat Gap and Rose Robinson of Ashland, KY. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren.
