He was predeceased by: his parent Jim Phillips; and his siblings, Jackie Phillips, Claire Phillips, Janice Harold and Jo Ann Seals.

He is survived by: his parent Anna Lee Phillips; his children, Donnie Phillips (Jeanna) of Berea, Tonya Nicole Phillips and Stephanie Ann Hounshell; his siblings, Johnny Phillips of Berea, Gary Wayne Phillips of Lexington, Jimmy Phillips of Berea and Marie Anderson of Rockcastle County; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Catherine Hounshell, Kaitlyn, Cody Hurt, Brian, Brandon and Ashley Roberts; and his great grandchildren, Colton Hurt, Raidyn Singleton and Autumn Foley.
