It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard G. Boyd Sr. of Paducah, Kentucky, who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard G. may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lee and Esther Aline Boyd (Choate); his son Richard G. "Richy" Boyd, Jr.; and his sister Mary Ruth Brooks. He is survived by: his spouse R. Aleatha Jones; his daughter Karen; and his brother David Boyd (Maye) of Sterrett, Alabama.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:45 PM. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Reevesville Cemetery (15 Wright Ln, Grantsburg, IL 62943).
