He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Fairhurst Sr. and Rose McManus Fairhurst; his son Keith Fairhurst; and his sisters, Janet Fairhurst and Martha Ellen Bugni.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Roberts Fairhurst; his children, Brian Fairhurst (Janeen), Drew Fairhurst (Rebecca), Craig Fairhurst (Kathryn), Dara Houston (Derek) and Leann Fairhurst; and his grandchildren, Kamari Overton, Tobias Fairhurst, Nola Thompson, Wesley Houston, Conner Thompson and Reid Fairhurst.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah (120 Memorial Dr, Paducah, KY 42001). A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church (116 S 6th St, Paducah, KY 42001).
