He is survived by: his wife Tonya Buchanan Smith; his children, Samantha Burgess (Stephen) of Nashville, TN, Ryan Smith (Lakin) of Paducah, KY, Will Smith (Lindsey) of Birmingham, AL and Jay Smith of Paducah, KY; his parents, William David Smith III and Mary Liddell Smith of Houston, MS; his siblings, Debbie Freeman (Winky) of Vicksburg, MS and David Smith of Houston, MS; his grandchildren, Evah Smith, Eliza Smith, Abel Harris, Vincent Hardison and Roman Smith; his son Steve Burgess; and his children-in-law, Samantha Hancock, Jay Hancock and Will. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
