We bid farewell to Janet Brickeen Shelton of Paducah, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 7, 2024 at the age of 83. Janet Brickeen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth "Popeye" Shelton; her siblings, Tommy Brickeen, William "Bud" Brickeen and Sharon Moffitt; and her parents, Bill Brickeen and Frances Hagler Brickeen.
She is survived by: her children, Russell Shelton (Tammy) of Paducah, KY and Molly Beth McElvain of Pinckneyville, IL; and her siblings, Jerry Brickeen of Florida and Carol Karaska of Florida. She is also survived by three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Byrn Funeral Home (1020 Paris Rd, Mayfield, KY 42066). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
