It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Rebecca Farrell of New York, New York, who passed away on September 1, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen DiBonaventura and Samuel Galt; her husband John P. Farrell (Jack); her daughters, Donna and Frances Farrell; her stepfather Francis DiBonaventura; and her brother Samuel Galt.
She is survived by: her children, John Farrell (Sandy) of Santa Fe, NM, Michael Farrell (Cecelia), Helen, Missy Eckenberg (Stan) and James Farrell of Paducah; her grandchildren, Laura Farrell (Rob), Shannon Farrell (Shaikat), Kelly Farrell, Bridget Farrell (Ben), Patrick Farrell (Zoe), Alex Farrell (Angela), Mary Farrell, Erin Hendley, Sarah Hendley Ferraro (Will), Jemma, Jack Duffey and Norie Farrell; her half-siblings, Lina Smith (Gary) and Billy DiBonaventura; and her great-nephew Brian Farrell (Amy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (5646 Blandville Rd, Paducah, KY 42001). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
