He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillip Hays Sr. and Frances Louise Beasley Hays. He is survived by: his siblings, Carolyn Hays of Paducah, Paul Hays of Paducah and John Phillip Hays Jr. of Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
