He was predeceased by: his brother David Rainey; and his parents, Alvin Rainey and Mary Pearl McDill Rainey. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Scott Harrison; his children, Leigh Renee Harrison (Tom) of Princeton, Kentucky and Gerald Michael Harrison (Cathy) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Zachary Scott Harrison, Rachel Alexandria Harrison, Shane William Patterson, Sloane Taylor Patterson and Shaye Thomas Patterson; his great grandchildren, Abel, Arlo, Owen and Hazel; his brothers, Larry Rainey of Lone Oak and Kenny Rainey of Lone Oak; and his siblings-in-law, Ron, Christy Scott of Alabama, Rick, Dulcinea Scott of South Carolina, Jeff, Beverly Scott of Ohio and Donna (Mike Toon). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah (120 Memorial Dr, Paducah, KY 42001). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
